During the Coronavirus outbreak:
DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD HAS A FEVER, LOSS OR CHANGE TO SENSE OF TASTE OR SMELL AND/OR NEW CONTINUOUS COUGH – PLEASE RING US INSTEAD
Same day Appointments:
Please call as early as possible from 8am for a same day appointment.
Same day appointments are for patients who are acutely unwell and require medical attention the same day. We respectfully ask that patients carefully consider their symptoms when requesting one of these appointments and consider “do I need to see a doctor with this?” so we have enough appointments for patients who are acutely unwell and need to see a doctor the same day. Please note, our reception team have received healthcare navigation training in order to ensure that are patients are accessing the most appropriate clinician as soon as possible. In order to do this, our reception team have been instructed by our GPs to ask the nature of the patients problem when booking an appointment.
Please remember that doctors do not prescribe antibiotics for viral illnesses such as coughs and colds and over the counter remedies are often most appropriate. Please try and avoid attending surgery with mild, self-limiting illnesses.
NHS choices provide a useful Symptom Checker on their website which can be found at https://www.nhs.uk/symptomcheckers/pages/symptoms.aspx
