Home Visits

Requests for home visits should be made before 10.30am except in emergencies, telephone 01905 622900.

Out of surgery hours this number will be answered by the telephone answering machine. The recorded message will tell you which number to ring to contact the out of hours service based at Kidderminster who will deal with calls for a doctor after 6.00pm in the week and at weekends.

Do not be surprised if the reception staff ask why you are requesting a home visit – the doctor on call will need to know how urgent the request is.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

If you are unable to attend Surgery, please make your request for a visit as soon as possible and before 10.30am on the day that it is required.

Non-urgent calls received after this time may mean delayed appointments until the following day.

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. Please do not ask a doctor to call unless the patient is too ill to come to the Surgery.

When you request a visit, please give the patient’s full name, age, address and telephone number and the reason for the visit. If you feel the problem is URGENT, please make this clear to the receptionist. This information allows the doctors to plan their calls and urgent requests to be dealt with promptly.
